As for ur info if ur Spectra had a auto transmission faulty pls done panick as if u visit to any workshop the simple answer is they ask to REPLACED RECOND GEARBOX that cost 3-5k each depends on warranties.
But pls bear in mind its just a suggestion where u even never find the main cause of yr faulty transmission actually happen. Here are some tips and symphtoms on Spectrans facing problems on their auto gearbox system.
1. Car shift to D the car never moves ?
2. Shifts to D it takes few second only then starts to move.
3. Gear shifts from D-2-3-4 jerks on each shifts?
4. Drop gear from 4-3-2-D thre gear jerks and stuck either at 2nd or 3rd gear?
5. If u Shift to P or N u CANT starts the car ?
6. When u shift the lever to D/R/1/2 the cars can starts?
7. The gear mode at the meter panel is haywires as if shifts at D it lights up at R mode?
8. When u reversed on R mode the car vibrates tremendously?
9. U can smell oil burning in ur cabin ?
10. U can feel extreme heat via the cup holder at the handbrakes section?
