For my personal advice Pls try TO AVOID USING RECONDITION ALTERNATORS as it will affect most of yr electronic components such as

• Inconsistence of current output
• Unstable current supply
• Will affect or short circuit ur battery plates
• Short circuit the main fuse via the engine compartment
• As a whole affect all sensors and electronic components.
• Reconds alternator wont last long....

Here I would fully recomend all Spectrans and Newbies to use Genuine Alternator that suit ur Spectra Specs.

Again another Mishap "Timing Belt Break"

Salam Spectran & and Especially to Newbies Spectra owner.

Just last week our Spectran members had his Timing Belt break off.
Now another Spectran members facing the same problems where its due time for Timing Belt replacement as his mileage had reach 119km. As on phone conversations justified that he had the wrong info regarding timing belt replacements is at every 70k km interval.
For yr info using Kia ori brand name the time schedules is within 45-50k km ,u need to replaced the full kit belt at once!!

From the impact of Timing Belt breaks u will get a severe Damage at ur internal engine parts.

• Crack cylinderhead block
• Severe damage on ur Pistons
• Bent valves
• Burnt gasket
• Bent connecting Rod

Why u need to do full flushing on atf Kia Spectra.

Most of all i would like to stress to all Spectrans, Why most Spectran facing  failure on their gearbox system. When is ur last service maintenance schedules? What type of Atf fluid ? Did u ever replaced the genuine Auto filter & auto oil sump pan Gaskets kit.? Have u service the solenoids, valve body ? Have check the conditions of the auto sensors?
All of the above service maintenance that u avoid will result faulty gearbox.

So again to all Spectrans, the correct way how to maintain and prolongs life span of  auto transmission is 

1. Do the correct way full flushing every 40k km interval.
2. Do replaced atf fluid every 15-20k km interval
3. Used ori atf fluid genuine oil 
4. Used genuine Auto Filter & gasket.

The results after u had done Full Flushing service and Why you should do full Flushing?

As stated in our owner mfg service book indicates that we need to take care maintenance on auto gear transmission.

Another Timing Belt break Off.

Just want to share to all spectrans  to be more cautious and aware of yr next service maintenance on replacing the Genuine Timing Belt kits. This is also applys to all Newbies who had just bought the used Spectra. Pls take immediate action on yr Timing Belt replacements where u might facing the same problems from our Johorean Spectrans ( Bro Yap) where he had his Timing belt break off along Simpang Rengam highway last few days....This is what actually his spectra internal engine looks like...

This is the worst internal engine damage due to break Timing Belt. As u can noticed the piston is severely burnt and crack. Besides that the cylinder head block also had damage  due to instant impact from the 16 inlet and outlet valves..Need to replaced new genuine Cylinder head Block.and 16 pcs valves.

This is the Ori Genuine Cylinder Head Block as for parts replacement. It is costly $$$, thats why I alwways reminds all Spectrans to take seriously when service maintenance Timing Belt.

Yet not the block, u also need to replace the crack/hole piston with Genuine Piston and Piston Rings full kit.

You also need other genuine parts Especially the Genuine Timng Belt ( warranty 50k km ) Gaskets etc

I fully recomends the Ori Genuine Dayco Timing Belt full kit / Timing Belt cover upper and lower sections (optional) warranty 100k km.

As Bro Yap had recvd all the above parts in good faith as now the mechanis will start installing all the genuine parts which will resume his Spectra to outstanding & superb state....

FRom the above matters if you get on ur Spectra esp 

• Timing Belt break off, thousand of rigggit need to be spen on new genuine parts such as

• new coolant preferable Red/Blue(motul) or White liqui moly coolant
• Air cond motor fan functioning on its sec speed / radiator motor fan
• radiator hose upper n lower
• water pump assy and gasket
• water pump alloy pipe hose that s circulates ur engine
• temp switch sensors full pins.
• thermo housing

Then u will get a cools engine restore like normal for years with no problems

Lastly for sure lots spectra having Gearbox failure and for these pls dont replace reconds auto transmission straight away.Go for more cheaper ways that almost will solve ur auto trans problems.

1. Cools down yr auto transmission system
2. Prolongs life span n prevent slip gears

Secondly using genuine Auto Filter can

Why my powersteering fluid level low.

Pls be informed to all Spectrans, always checked the fluid level for
1. Powersteering reservoir tank at its 'Maximum' levels.
2. Brake fluid tank
3. Engine oil levels via the deep stick
4. Atf fluid for auto transmission.

If u monitored theres a low level occurs, pls checked
1. For powersteering low fluid indicates theres a leakage .
2. Pls checked ur powersteering pressure hose
3. Powersteering motor pump assy
4. Powersteering hose tube via tank
If sighted need genuine parts replacement asap.
Flush out the okd fluid and refill with new fluid.

For brake oil low level, pls check
1. Master brake pump assy
2. Brake hose leakage
3. Puston seal via calipers

Low engine oil level indicates ,theres a leak via
1. Engine oil sump pan gasket leaks
2. 3 point oil seals
3. Cylinder head valve cover gasket

Lastly for low level auto transmission fluid ( most crucial)....
Pls checked
1. Leakage via auto oil sump pan with crack gasket
2. Drive shaft oil seals cracks left n right
3. Flywheel oil seal crack
4. Torque converter oil seal crack

Pls take immediate action on this auto trans matter. As with low atf fluid can
1. Atf trans will becomes hot and Friction will take place
2. Burning smell  due to very low level of atf oil that leads to serious faulty gearbox.
3. As friction happen microns of metal shit will clogged ur filter, torque coverter,auto clutch gear resulting failure gearbox will take place.

How to maintain Kia Spectra Auto Transmission.

Why I should have schedules service maintenance on my Auto Gearbox system?

Usually for the past few months Ive been receiving Spectran members feedback regarding faulty auto gearbox.

Most had complaint having 

• Once engaged to D mode the car takes few second to move forward
• The gear shift isnt smooth and jerking
• slipped gear
• drop gear jerks and stuck in between gears.
• leakage via the oil sump pan
• Gear system becomes heavy and stalls when climbing hills.

Out of all the above problems where most spectrans had never even 

• replaced or flush the gear systems evry 40-50k km
• replaced ori genuine auto filter
• used wrong atf fluid transmission

This why wear & tear occurs and it will

• Creates lots of internal heat thru FRICTION
• The friction of the fluid will churn inside the torque converter
• Creates heat frictions between auto clutch plates.
• Leaks auto oil sump pan gasket seals where atf will sip out
• Contaminated and sludge oil deposited between gears
• Clogged auto filter resulting inadequate good clean filters flow
• Faulty auto switch sensors
• Faulty auto lever cable assy and crack bush
• Deposited heavy microns of metal shits affecting the auto systems.

The Solution usually will diagnoss to TRADE in  the auto gear for RECONDS Gearbox.

This practiced should be stopped unless u are 100% sure of the gear faulty.

Take the lowest budget first before installing RECONDS Gearbox.

The first thing to do once u got the gearbox problems.

Used ori genuine ATF fluid SP111 ,dont ever used Dextron 111, or SPIV atf fluid.

Must do every 40-50k km or 2-3years interval to have yr atf fluid always clean

As clean atf ( clear red) will cools down our transmission and avoid heat frictions.

Replace ori genuine Kia motor Auto Filter assy to have beeter clean filtered.

Always service clean auto oil sump pan , magnets , solenoids and valve bodys assy and gasket.
