Sy harap bro nazri dapat replace the timing belt full kit in order to prevent more severe damaged to ur engine if happen it breaks...... As ur mileage dah overdue .....

Another thing ur brake system is not due to brake servo booster faulty. Its ur brake pads, pin sliders, piston calipers should be major service n some parts replacements.

Ori Genuine Air Vent Grilled via front Dashboard (Spectra)

Salam Spectrans,

Anyone need this ori Genuine Air Vent Grille comes in one pair left and right. As most spectrans will be having crack air vent grille due to exposed to extreme heats. As a result the grilled will tends to bent in due time and brittles. Once it crack the support part of the dashboard will make a huge bulging shape that will damage the original appearance. When the dashboard is badly damage it will cost money wise.$$$$$
To prevent the dashboard becomes worst pleased ensure u  replaced the air vent grille at once.!!!

Faulty Alternator today 9/5/2012

Faulty Alternator is due to malfunction of its electric diode components is wear and tear. Had clocked almost 176k km where the alternator wear off. Symphtoms:-
1.Car lack of power
2. Auto gear is inconsistence,jerking and rough ride
3. Parkin brake , abs,battery indicator suddenly lights up during night driving.
4. Drop gear is not smooth
5.Head lights become dimmer
6.Power window slow
All the above problem indicates that our battery is withdrawing OUT current ,whilst the alternator is dead where it could not recharge fully the battery.. As a result if never replaced at once, u might had a dead engine on the road...

Well Spectrans the New and Old Faulty Alternator looks identical...Why? ITS GENUINE PARTS. After 6.5 years of driving the spectra this is my first replacement of Ori Alternator. Pls be advice that most spectran had used RECONDs Alternator which is
1. Never last and warranty fr couple of month only.Then it gone bad!!
2. Low Voltage and Amphere Output where it cant  fully charge ur battery  100%
3. Waste ur money,time and labour charged.
4. THE WORST PART AS FEW SPECTRANS HAD COME ACCROSS SHORT CIRCUIT ON THE MAIN FUSE BOX THAT BURNT THE HARNESS WIRE DUE TO INCONSISTENCE VOLTAGE SUPPLY......$$$$$$$$
5. Please beware of this.

At last replaced the Ori Alternator with the correct specification of voltage and ampheres.
What I noticed after fixing the new alternators,this is the outcome you got :-
1. Power Accelerations is superb.
2. Transmission engagements and gear shift is smooth back to normal
3. Bright Headlights
4. Fast motion on Powewr windows
5. All indicators icon in the meter panel had resume to normal

So Spectrans with a proper parts choose and a proper specialist mechanic will give u a positive results.

Service Maintenance

Major Maintenance
1.Leakage on Oil Sump Pan Assy + ori silicone gasket
2.Leakage on 3 main oil seal
3. Oil leaks via valve rocker cover gasket.
4. Cylinder head via the camshaft.

Install 10.2mm tri core silicone high tem plug cable mainly custom for Kia Spectra
Replace new compatible performance Plugs Denso Iridium Power 4 pcs.
Replace Ori Genuine  Dayco Timing Belt, tensioner bearing,idler pulley bearings, oil seals,Dayco air cond belt and alternator belt.
Replace ori alloy water pump + gasket
Ori Thermostat and thermostat housing
Ori Temp switch sensor.
Ori Kia Motor upper Radiator Hose
Ori Kia Motor lower Radiator Hose
Ori Radiator Tank Cap
Ori Engine Oil Cap
Red Coolant ( Redline)

Replace the leak vacumm PVC hose via the manifold and throttle body.
Reset all harderened hose assy.
New 13 plates battery.

It was done at our Kia Spectra member club appointed workshop at Kl/JB/Pekan Kuantan.

Symphtoms of failure alternator.

Salam Spectrans,

The faulty of alternator can be detected on few unusual symptoms as follows
1. Front headlights from bright suddenly turns dim n dimmer.
2. Power window up n down is slow to normal
3. Ur indicator sign such as battery, parking brake,abs icon suddenly lights on when driving.
4. Ur gear transmission drop gear from 4-3-2-D isnt smooth.
5. Horn not loud.
6. Dead engine.

Well this also indicates u had a bad battery ,if its life span almost 1.5 years.if happen u had a new battery and all symphtom occurs from abovementioned.
Most likely u had a failure Alternator. Must replace at once in order to prevent ur car with dead engine while driving.
This eventually will damage the battery electrolytes plates,as tge battery is withdrawing out current to all electronic parts as the bad alternator cant produced full output charged!!

Driveshaft cv joint for kia spectra

Anyone had come across tak tak...sound when making a U turn or corner, please be advice dont change the whole driveshaft that will be costly. Spectran just had to replaced the outer part via ur front wheels either left or right.

Oxygen Sensor

Salam Spectrans,

Pleased be aware if u ever come across the Check Engine Light suddenly ON when driving ?
This is to indicates that ur car had serious electronics or sensor is malfunction. The best thing to do is to bring ur car to the any Kia Service Center to do HI SCAN as to diagnoss the troubleshoots and errors to ur sensors.
As one of most frequent faulty of the engine light on derives your Oxygen Sensor is malfunction.
