Slm Spectrans and all newbies,
Just want to info to all Spectrans members especially the new comers, i would personally advice to keep track of yr mileage due for Timing Belts replacements.
Within this couple of weeks i had recvd feedback on three spectrans who had his Spectra Timing Belt break. From my conversation with them indicates two spectrans had just bought the car 2 months ago where they dosent knew any car history from the first owners. The 3 rd spectrans had his Timing belt slips due to bad tensioner bearing and all the tooth belt is completely worn out....
Again I would remind all Spectrans to replace yr belt if u arent really sure or just bought the car.
The 3 main pillars on maintaining service should gives priority
1. Timing belt replacement includes
a. Timing belt assy
b. heavy duty tensioner bearing
c. Idler pulley
d. Oil seas 3 pcs
e. alternator belt
f. Air cond belt.
For mileage above 70 k km Spectrans should also replace ur waterpump assy.
2. Full flushing package on yr gearbox system
3. Install ori genuine air cond cabin filter for yr air cond system.
