Important and function of alternators are :-
- to generate electricity to recharge the battery
- Battery do not have the full capacity to start and run for a long time
- Without a proper funtioning alternator our car can only being drove for few KM
How to detect Faulty Alternator.
- To check and detect the alternator and battery using digital volts amp tester
- If the voltage read below 12.5 with ignitions engine is on indicates low charging
- As with engine starts the voltage should read @ 13.5 volts to 14.5v.
- During at night headlights will becomes dimmer and dimmer.
- Power window becomes weaker and slow up and down.
- Drop gear from 4-3-2-D is not smooth and jerks
- lack of power.
- U will noticed shadow of indicator such as abs,handbrakes indicator lights up on and off
- No horn
- No radio.
So from all the above symptoms dont be surprised that u might had a engine failure while Driving due to FAULTY ALTERNATORS. As what u need to replaced at once.....

As i recvd many feedbacks from Spectrans that used Reconds Alternators where they face
- Problems on charging for only few months and faulty
- Not consistence on charging ouput which damage ou Battery.
- Will give short circuit to our main fuse being Burnt.
- Will burnt our harness wire and melt the 12 /9//8 pin socktets.
- Short circuit fuse box via the dashboard. etc etc etc
- low ampheres voltage.
So spectrans do used ori Alternators as it costly but its vital to ur car electric needs and save. Do call for best quotes and details at 013-7849798. wasalam
